Miami FC Get Ready For Season Opener

After a tempestuous off-season to say the least, Miami FC will embark on their most crucial season in their short history. It is a season where success will be demanded of as well as cementing an even greater fan base.

No longer will they play at Tropical Park They will move north over to historic Lockhart Stadiumto play a few matches in an effort to appeal to the always-complex South Florida sports market.

On the pitch, head coach Zinho will count on Leo Inacio Nunes, former Miami Fusion star Diego Serna, and former Colorado Rapids midfielder Facundo Erpen to lead the charge when they play start their five-match homestand both at Lockhart as well as at
FIU Stadium. Their season will start out against some of the best competition that USL can offer as they will play the Cleveland City Stars, surprise CONCACAF Champions League side Montreal Impact, perennial contenders Rochester Rhinos, Charlesto Battery, and the Carolina Railhawks.

Former Talleres man and 2006 MLS All-Star, Erpen will be the anchor on defense. While Nunes began to establish himself in the Blues’ lineup as he was a starter on 12 occasions.

Serna, 35, returns to the US after a having stints with Ecuadorian side Macará and Brazilian side Fast.

So as far as competition coming in, there are no excuses. Go out and support these guys!!!!
